Standard First Aid |
|
|
(4 hours) Certificate: First Aid - 3 years
Participants will learn skills necessary to recognize and provide basic First Aid care for injuries and sudden illnesses until advanced medical care arrives. Program includes victim assessment, care for wounds, bone and soft tissue injuries, head and spinal injuries, burns, and heat and cold emergencies. Includes participant booklet and laminated First Aid skills card. |

Adult CPR/AED |
|
|
(4 ½ hours) Certificate: Adult CPR/AED - 1 year
Participants will learn to recognize and respond to respiratory emergencies, choking, and cardiac emergencies until advanced medical personnel arrive. Instruction includes Adult CPR and how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) for victims of sudden cardiac arrest. Course includes participant booklet and laminated skills card. |

Adult CPR/AED Recertification |
|
|
(2 ½ hours) Certificate: Adult CPR/AED - 1 year
For participants who hold a current Adult CPR/AED certification and would like to recertify. An edited version of the video and some review is included before a written and skills test is taken. Please note: Books are not included in the cost of recertification classes. Students should bring their participant's booklet and skill card from the previous year, or materials will be available for purchase at the time of registration or before class.

(4 ½ hours) Certificate: Infant & Child CPR - 1 year
Designed for parents, child care workers, and others who care for young children, this course teaches skills for avoiding hazards and responding to emergencies. Participants learn to recognize and respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies for children and infants. Course includes participant booklet and laminated skills card. |

For participants who hold a current Infant and Child CPR certification and would like to recertify. Designed for parents and caregivers, this course teaches participants the components and skills taught in the Standard First Aid course and Infant and Child CPR in a convenient combined class. Course includes participant booklet and laminated skills card. |

CPR/AED – Adult Plus Child and Infant CPR |

(6 hours) Certificate: Adult CPR/AED + Child & Infant CPR - 1 year
Participants will learn how to recognize and respond to respiratory emergencies, choking, and cardiac emergencies for adults, infants, and children until advanced medical personnel arrive. Participants will also know the role of AEDs in the Cardiac Chain of Survival. Course includes participant's booklet and laminated Adult CPR & Child & Infant CPR skills cards, which participants can refer back to throughout the year. |

CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer |
|
|
(8 hours) Certificate: CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer - 1 or 2 years, depending on the certification needed
CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer training includes: responding to breathing and cardiac emergencies in adults, children and infants; using an AED on an adult and child victim of cardiac arrest; and using personal protective equipment to stop bloodborne pathogens and other diseases from spreading. Course includes participant book and pocket mask breathing barrier.
The CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification will be available in 3 forms:
CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider- a 2 year certification for nursing students, dental hygienists, and other healthcare professionals
CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer for Lifeguards - a 1 year certification
CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer with a standard 1 year certification |
