The American Red Cross welcomes new Executive Director, Angela Storch, toits Rice/LeSueur County chapter. Melanie Tschida, Executive Director for theSoutheastern Minnesota Regional Chapter of American Red Cross states, “Weare thrilled to welcome Angela to the American Red Cross. Her nonprofitexperience along with her involvement in so many activities in the Faribaultarea has positioned her well to lead the Rice/LeSueur Counties Chapter. Welook forward to working with her in our collective efforts to increase visibility,recruit volunteers, and raise needed funds to support our vital mission in Riceand LeSueur Counties and throughout Southeast Minnesota.”
Storch is a native of Waterville, MN, where she and her family currently reside. Storch graduated from Waterville-Elysian-Morristown High School, and went on to receive a B.A. in Speech Communication and Human Relations from St. Cloud State University. Her background includes 13 years specializing in non-profit management, advancement, and marketing for the United Way of Faribault, South Central College, and the financial advising firm Comprehensive Wealth Solutions. She is also an active member of the Faribault Rotary Club, the Faribault Area Chamber of Commerce, Holy Trinity and Divine Mercy Catholic communities.
Storch says of her new position, “I am truly honored and excited to be a part of the American Red Cross family. I’ve worked in both non-profit and for-profit, and find that my passion lies in the world of human service. The American Red Cross exemplifies the call to servant leadership.”
Storch’s immediate goals for the Rice/LeSueur chapter of American Red Cross are to increase public knowledge of the organization and volunteer recruitment in both counties.
